Our Canada Truck Driver Job Openings

Project Technician

Jade Transport Ltd. is looking for an experienced Project Technician to help build and customize the show trucks Jade is known for—trucks that turn heads at events and still go to work every day.

This isn’t a typical shop position. You’ll be part of a skilled team responsible for creating high-end show trucks while also supporting an active, well-kept fleet. When a build is in progress, the team focuses on precision, detail, and quality. When projects pause, the priority shifts to keeping the fleet reliable and moving.

We’re looking for a seasoned technician who takes pride in their work, works well within a team environment, and understands that great builds and strong operations go hand in hand. This role suits someone who values craftsmanship, accountability, and being part of a crew that takes pride in what rolls out the door—on the show floor and on the highway.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:
• Monday to Friday (day shift)
• Overtime and flexible hours as project and operational demands require

Core Responsibilities

Project & Build Work
• Custom show truck and specialty unit builds, including accessories
• Mechanical installation, modification, and integration of truck systems
• Fabrication, fitment, and finishing of custom components

• Brake, suspension, axle, and wheel-end work as part of custom builds
• Minor bodywork, metal work, and detail finishing
• Diagnose and solve build issues independently, without step-by-step instructions

Fleet Maintenance
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on fleet tractors
• Brake, suspension, axle, wheel-end, tire, and electrical repairs
• Identify deficiencies proactively and recommend corrective action
• Coordinate with vendors and parts suppliers as needed
• Maintain accurate service and build documentation

What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years experience as a truck tractor technician, or equivalent
• Proven experience with custom builds, fabrication, or specialty truck work
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic ability
• Comfortable working independently and making decisions on the floor
• Able to manage time and priorities across long-term projects and day-to-day maintenance
• Valid Class 5 license required (Class 3 or higher is an asset)
• Computer literate (maintenance software, diagnostics, communication tools)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
